Each issue of Czechout is presented in one or more formats: Scanned (1975-2001), OCR (1990-2001), or Digital (2002 to present). Each format has specific advantages, or in the case of OCR and Scanned images, certain drawbacks.

Digital and OCR images are word and phrase searchable; Scanned images are not. Digital and OCR images load quickly into a browser; Scanned images may be far slower. While Digital and Scanned copies are very accurate, OCR copies may contain garbled text. If this causes difficulty choose the OCR's Scanned companion to improve textual accuracy.
